Right click the game's exe and in the compatibility tab, set the compatibility mode to Windows 7. At least, that's the one that worked for me.
I added a shortcut to my desktop and there is no tab for Compatibility when I right click and select properties. I see that option on other things on my desktop, but not my shortcut for RCT.
How else do I right-click on the games .exe??
Go to Manage > Browse local files
You should be able to find the game's exe from there. Right click that in File Explorer and you should see the compatibility tab in the window that pops up. In other words, not the shortcut icon on your desktop, but the executable stored in the game's install directory.
Hope this helps!
Thank yu for your help. Compatibility mode to Windows 98/Me is all that worked for me
