Make a whole campaign and I'll buy the big'un edition
Game is a hard pass then.
Right, because the race that approached the Navi to negotiate for mining rights over a material critical to keeping billions alive and only resorted to violence when the Navi attacked them *repeatedly* is the bad guy race. You really gotta learn to pay attention to tiny things like background story.
Besides not a single person in this thread owns the game on steam, besides me.
Edit:
If buying the most expensive version of the game let me play as Col. Quaritch in a mech suit, I'd probably already have over 100 hours in this game. That dude was legit, and based af. Died like a hero trying to stop that traitor.
Well, back to Helldivers 2 I go.
There was a game that came out on the PS2 (I think, could be a different console) shortly after Avatar released that was part of the lore that showed the first 'war' between the humans and the Navi and it was very clearly stated that the Navi started it. In it you could play as a human soldier and even had the option to go traitor later on in the game or remain loyal to humanity. The fact this game doesn't have that shows that, much like the movie Avatar, storytelling has taken a back seat to pushing players to pick a specific side and distract them from a presumed lousy story with fancy graphics.
Also, calling someone a racist xenophobe? Really? Way to show you don't have an argument but can't simply leave it at 'I disagree' and move on.
