That depends on your own preferences really. All i can say is that Ubisoft worked hard for that negativity in reviews. I won't say that all of the criticism is well deserved though, because that would be unfair; Many people ignore requirements and later lament about crashing and problems with loading assets. Checking requirements should be the first thing one does before buying.

10 bucks? That's quite a bit cheaper than the current 70% discount.

If you liked the look and feel of the first Avatar movie, then you will likely enjoy exploring the landscapes, despite the weaknesses in the game's progression loop and story telling. Never had any technical issues running this on an RTX4080 with a sensible frame cap.

if you're a big fan I would suggest buying it, cuz you can really live as a Navi, running, riding Ikaran, hunting。。。but I would also recommend skip all the battle, as for myself, an explorer, only love the environment part and hate the battle

Probably used frame gen. Not only it makes game uglier but also eats vram and stacks temperature. I dont recommend frame gen at all - one needs at least 12gb vram and play with dlss.

If you evade every battle, how will you actually progress in the story? Isn't it a story game in the end?

I play on laptop with a intel i5 and a 3050ti, i obviously can't play with great graphics because this is a game that requires more to still perform with good fps. but i learn to get around not everything looking amazing. definitely buy for $10

nahh never that means the thermal paste is used.

This game is seriously amazing, it´s fun, beautiful and surprisingly deep in some aspects, such as the Na´vi culture and Pandora´s environments.

Okay, people, I played the game for about 7-8 hours and my opinion is that it is:
- incredibly beautiful. Literally, most of the time I've spent in the game so far is just aimlessly wandering and exploring. I absolutely loved the "exploring" missions, for example, the one where I had to get my Ikran.
- the performance is not bad, considering I'm playing under Linux with my old RTX 3070. I'm playing it on High, with FPS drops only noticeable in very saturated areas.
- the missions are quite repetitive, and the combat doesn't appeal to me and doesn't give me the desired amount of enjoyment.

The game is definitely worth 10-20$. For 60-70$, we can definitely argue.

BTW: I haven't played the Far Cry series.

no i really like it and i havent had any issues with the game. never getting under 60 fps. i have a 4070 12gb btw

- quick question: what about character creation menu (changing menu)? Do you lose frames there? Im asking because for me that one menu was and is a slideshow. Also running on linux (derivative of Ubuntu). Ubi don't want to touch that because linux is unsupported platform.
