In short, try running the game without the Internet, and please let me know if it works for you.

I tried deleting the saves, the "AFOP" folder from the "My Games" folder
I tried deleting Ubisoft Connect along with all saves and the game, still the same problem
as soon as my saves are loaded, after the intro there is a black screen, but if I delete the saves and start the game without the Internet, then everything works (but I can’t play on my save)
if you return the saves and start the game without the Internet, then everything works again and there is no black screen, but if for some reason the Internet appears and the game connects to the Ubisoft servers, then the game does not work again, just instead of the black screen you see what you saw when the connection to the servers was restored (I saw the main menu, because only there the game wanted to connect to the servers)
At the moment I can’t play this game with the Internet, I’m waiting for a fix, or I’ll try to make a refund, because I have 15 hours of gameplay, which is clearly not enough for this game, and playing without the Internet is also not an option

I launch steam, launch the game, the ubisoft launcher starts, and at the moment when the screensaver with the warning appears, I turn off the Internet, the game starts! Next, I turn on the Internet, and continue the game, the game is saved, the saves are loaded. Thanks trofima:steamthumbsup:
Exactly the same problem last couple of days: black screen before menu. Disconnecting the Internet helps. Windows 11 Pro, i5-12400, RTX4060, Driver 556.12
Yep, the problem with Ubisoft Connect, if it's offline - no black screen.
This problem appear after the latest update.
I had the same problem with Call of Duty recently, but the solution was to change time and time zone - for some reason it didn’t want to accept mine. This solution doesn't help here.

At the moment I am corresponding with support, they are asking me to check the default “update Windows and drivers” and also send information about my PC, we will wait for an answer, by the way, who cares, I checked stram achievements work, when I started the game, then turned off the Internet, and during gameplay turned on the Internet again

Thanks I will try asap that, very strange that Ubi don’t care about that
Same here. Till 14.07 it played well. Starting from 15.07 there is the black screeen issue. Turning Internet off helps. But that's not the way it has to be.
