More like War of the Worlds with pink people instead of Martians, set in a jungle.

Yep, I'ts "Far Cry 7" or something similar.
It has the same game structure (I didn't beat the game yet).

I actually like the stuff.
It depends what you are looking for ;)
I do like "sequels" even if they get a bit repetitive, YMMV.

At least it makes perfect sense for a game where you play as a hunter/gatherer. I've been a Far Cry fan for over a decade. Love 3, 4, and Primal. Hated the ending for 5 so bad that I completely skipped New Dawn and 6. I wasn't the slightest burnt out by the cookie cutter method because of how much the game made me feel like a Na'vi.
Doesn't run as good as Far Cary 5 that's for sure.

Weird as to why some struggle to run certain games. Find it basically as smooth as butter. :)

I have some performance problems, but I have an oldish GPU (Radeon RX 580) and a large monitor (4k).
Scaling down to 1080 (1k) problems vanish

Not really like Farcry because the 'pink people' want to destroy the planet. And FC did not have all those Mechs and flying prehistoric creatures. The 'blue' people were giants in size unlike anything in FC.

Totally different story in Farcry.

simple scaling and model animation and rigging. sill the same engine. bet its just like tom clancy games and farcry with an open world with "outposts and enemy activity" along with collectibles and 5 paragraphs of lore letters. all while a plot written by a 5 year old unfolds as you clear objectives. also bet it has crap pc controls from being a console port. *sigh* oh ubisoft. I'll still buy it when its 10$

You bet a lot on what you guess at.

Avatar was developed in the Snowdrop game engine from Massive Entertainment. Same as used for the Tom Clancy’s The Division games. UbiSoft was the publisher.

Farcry 6 (and others) was developed in the Dunia 2 game engine from UbiSoft Montreal. UbiSoft was also the publisher.

So many experts and very little in the way of facts.

Can I steal and fly with reasonable flight physics a twin ducted fan helicopter from the movie? No? They’re just enemies to shoot down? So it’s just far cry primal with flying mounts

Any of you ever play just cause?
