ive played it in two different pc and screen goes black and freezes

So i'm a bit confused. Normally to try a game there's a demo button (if there is a demo), but here you can play the game for free.. Or pay. Is the free to play, the prologue only (which i just played) and the paid is further content? Or is it all just the same?...

After the prologue,the program becomes unresponsive

So upon playing this game i can't seem to get the little people to attack at the gates? aka i have like no defense even though i upgraded with plenty of coins. Game seems fun so far just confused on this matter. This leads to me just dying on night two all the time its like ughh. Guidance would be great thanks!...
