Ten years ago today, Alto first set off down the mountain and what started as a small passion project quickly grew into something far greater than we ever anticipated.

Over the years, we’ve been humbled by the stories you’ve shared—how Alto’s Adventure became a source of calm in difficult times, a ritual before bed, or even a shared experience between parents and their children. It’s been incredible to see the impact a game about the joy of movement and the changing landscape can have.

From that first run down the mountain to everything that has followed, this journey has been shaped as much by you, our players, as it has by us. As we celebrate this milestone, we just want to say thank you—for playing, for sharing, and for supporting us.

Here’s to ten years of adventure—and many more to come.

The first patch for The Alto Collection on Steam is now live.

Including various bug fixes and improvements, this update will ensure you can seamlessly master all 38 Steam achievements as you soar above the windswept dunes and explore the alpine slopes.

This patch includes:

• 🖥️ Improved menu visibility for ultra widescreen players.
  
• ☁️ Cross-device Cloud Sync improvements.
  
• 🔧 Additional menu navigation bug fixes.

Since our Steam launch yesterday, we've had a number of questions from players about Steam deck support.

While The Alto Collection is not officially Steam Deck verified just yet, we can confirm from our own testing that the title works fantastically on Steam Deck out of the box!

If you’re waiting for verification status to jump in, there’s no need, simply install and fire up The Alto Collection on your device to enjoy gliding through the endless desert of Alto’s Odyssey or snow capped peaks of Alto’s Adventure from the comfort of your sofa.

For those that prefer to wait for official verification before adding titles to their Steam Deck library, we hope to have good news on this front for you very soon. Unfortunately we don’t have direct control over the Steam Deck verification process, though we understand it ought to be granted soon enough.

The Alto Collection neatly combines the original endless snowboarding journey – Alto’s Adventure, as well as the windswept sandboarding expedition – Alto’s Odyssey into one handy package.

As we are nearing 10 years since Alto’s Adventure first arrived on iOS, we couldn’t be more excited to bring both titles to Steam, giving long-term fans the ability to experience both games on the big screen – as well as welcoming a new generation of PC players to our lovingly crafted ‘endless boarders’.


We want to share our appreciation for the fantastic community of players that have embraced the world of Alto over the years. There is no doubt that it is your support and encouragement that has enabled us to continue to pour our passion and creativity into the Alto series to this day.

As tomorrow is the big day, we thought we’d recap what you can look forward to once The Alto Collection goes live on Steam!


Return to the frosty slopes of Alto’s Adventure, or explore the endless desert in Alto’s Odyssey. Each game offers peaceful scenery and unique tricking opportunities! Whether you prefer the snow covered hills of Alto’s home mountain, or sandboarding through ancient ruins and long-lost temples of the endless desert, you will be able to play both in one convenient package.


With fresh leaderboards to conquer, you’ll be able to compete with friends as well as tackle global high scores for farthest distance travelled, highest trick points in a run and even the best single tricking combo.


The Alto Collection includes a roster of unique characters and unlockable items to enhance your runs. Define your preferred play style and complete challenges to unlock the perfect character to match! Don’t forget to collect the many coins scattered throughout the environment, so you can use them to improve your equipment and unlock new items that will extend your runs even further.


If chasing high scores and completing tricky challenges isn’t for you, take it slow and relax in the meditative Zen Mode – where you can endlessly glide through peaceful environments without game overs. Enjoy the dynamic Zen Mode soundtrack and explore the unique biomes of both titles, as you unwind.

Of course the collection wouldn't be the same without Alto’s furry friends. Make sure you catch the escaping flock before they get away! We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the other unique creatures you can interact with along the way, including the mesmerising Bird of Paradise and pesky Lemurs in Alto’s Odyssey.
