a few remarks
The game is not horrible and considering I got it in a bundle and paid it very little, I enjoyed it so far, but I wouldn't buy it full price. Anyway, considerations after 2 games with USSR and 1/2 with Axis:

- the hardcoded events (Finland surrenders, creation of Vichy France..) are extremely annoying. In the first case your units are removed, you have to deploy them again losing 2 or more turns. You should at least be given the option to continue the war nonetheless.

- in the case of Vichy, there's a bug where some hexes remain 'France' (non Vichy) territory, even if France has no towns left.

- countries that are aligned with you but didn't join the alliance yet hinder you more than help you: you cannot declare war to them, you cannot pass through them. The game should at least allow your troops to pass through their territories, even if they don't take part to military actions. Or there could be a diplomatic agreement to let your troops pass.

- the AI is reta*ded: often it buys new units just beside yours, so you can destroy newly built tanks in 1 hit with an infantry corps. Newly bought units should have no moves, but at least their hit points.

- fighting with USSR, I attacked Turkey, captured the first town (east of Ankara), defended only by an infantry that was weak for lack of supplies. The turkish AI kept sending troops beyond their town, not even trying to take it back (free PP for me), choosing suicide instead against the infantries I had in my towns in the Caucasus.

- considering these two things alone, I don't expect the general AI behaviour to be much smarter.

- I won with USSR 2 times totally ignoring navy and air units (except for occasional air recons). I'm playing with the Axis right now and I'm ignoring them too (except the bomber, but it's crazy expensive to recharge it, it plays as if they were kamikaze bombers). It makes me think they're kind of useless.

- mulberry harbours are too expensive: they provide supply not for 2 months (as the manual states), but for only 1 month (the first month when you place it doesn't have any effect).

- amphibious points aren't well done: I bought some in one turn at one price, then it was higher, then higher again, inexplicably. Then I waited for some months and the cost fell back to standard. Now, what's the logic behind this? It only forces you to buy a large amount of them in one go, and wait for the price to fall again. It would be much better if the price were raised in the same turn, falling back in the following one (f.e. first you buy costs 30, then 35, 40 etc, only in the same turn, the turn after it's back to 30).

- disembarking: I had my landing transports in the Mediterranean, from there I could disembark to Algeri and other places, but not where I wanted to go: Peloponnese with the second greek town. How am I supposed to conquer that town?? Airborne units are too weak.
Also, I wanted to disembark near Algeri: first time unsuccessful (but no penalty), I try other times (in the same turn, no limits!), still no penalties (HP loss or anything), eventually I can disembark! So basically you keep trying until you disembark.
