FaeVerse Alchemy Reborn has come out of Early Access using the brand new engine.

Back in 2016, we decided to pause development for FVA as the engine it was created with had a similar issue as Faerie Solitaire Remaster, a massive memory leak. All development toward that version of the game would go to waste due to the leak, causing the game to be less stable for most users.

Fast forward to late 2018 we decided to start work on the new version of FVA (now dubbed FaeVerse Alchemy Reborn) in the new engine we'd been working with (Defold). Originally, this was supposed to come out sooner to around then, but world events staggered that by a lot.

Fast forward to earlier this year, when we restarted work on FVA. For the last 6-7 months, we have been working hard to finish the remake in the new engine.

We've decided to scale back everything planned to what was in the old version with some new features and a quality of life edition. We still plan on updating the game over time and adding new content and plans for more ambitious updates later.

That said, we're happy to finally fully release FaeVerse Alchemy Reborn!

As we're close to releasing from Early Access we've raised the price back up to $5.99. Those who have claimed the game when it was free, you will still be able to enjoy the game as normal.

Moving forward we want to do a large update in the future, bringing it closer to our original vision of the game that we had back in 2014. What we want to add in are Adventure mode, NPCs, Quests, Rune Pets, Crafting, and more. When these larger updates come out the price of the game will slowly raise as well.

FaeVerse Alchemy Rerborn has been rebuilt from the ground up.

Overview on changes:
• Versus Mode has been removed and replaced with Chronos Mode
• Rings have been removed, when crafting is added they’ll be added back in
• Chronos Mode a new time based mode
• Chaos and Chornos mode have 3 sub mode with slightly altered rules
• Loot collected at the end of a round can be used as equipped items in various modes
• Every mode has their own high score stats
• Abyss Mode is still a single chance to get a high score for the day, but players can retry to get a personal best
• Puzzle Mode has additional puzzles added and more to come
• Every mode has their own set of achievements now
• Achievement requirements were adjusted for older achievements
• Updated help screen
• All items you’ve used can be viewed again in the help screen
• Various modes players can select what high tier elements they want to transmute into, currently there is only Rune and Fire elements
• Updated all item visuals and sound effects
• Many many more under the hood changes

If you were playing the FVA 2016 build and want to finish any achievements you can still complete them for now swapping over to the fva_2016 beta branch. This branch will be publicly available for a few months.

• Added setting to change the windowed resolution
• Added setting to automatically set the windowed mode to be maximized

Goal Changes
- Changing "No Wild" to "Using a Wild".

- Added "Never Break a Combo", worth 1,000 pure.
- Added "Celestial" combo tier, worth 1,000 pure.

- Increasing "Using Wild" bonus from 100 to 150 pure.
- Increasing "No Spare" bonus from 100 pure to 200 pure.
- Increasing "No Deck" bonus from 100 pure to 500 pure.
- Increasing "All-Out" bonus from 1000 pure to 2000 pure.
- Increasing "Left over Deck" bonus multiplier from x5 to x10. Example: (26 cards in a deck = 260 pure).
- Increasing "Highest Combo" bonus multiplier from x10 to x15. Example: (22 combo = 330 pure).

- Adjusted drop rates.
- Decreased Pet drop rates ~5%.
- Decreased Item drop rates ~2%.

Valor
- Added New Valor system.

Valor is an optional system that will allow players to give themselves a more difficult playthrough.

You must meet the conditions to unlock each of the 7 Valor perks.

Each Valor perk you have enabled will increase the maximum amount of XP you get per completed hand and other benifits.

Valor XP/Leveling
- Added New XP/Leveling system.
- Every level will grant players 1 Talent point.
- After reaching level 100, your next level up will reset your level to 1 and give you 1 Prestige Level.

Currently Prestige Levels do not grant anything special and are just for bragging rights (you still gain a bonus per each normal level up).

Talents
- Added New Talent system.

We've added in 36 Talents into the game. These Talents will buff various different parts of the game as you play.

You will need Talent points and pure to unlock Talent perks. The cost of talent points and pure will depend on the Talents' Rank.

Some Talent Perks can be upgraded past their initial rank.

You gain Talent points from completing locations (finishing all 9 hands and freeing the faerie or unlocking a loot box) and from leveling up.

Plus a ton of extra random polish, love, and care!
