The 2 new original characters Watty and Pomeranius feel very visually underdesigned compared to previous original additions.
Like their design doesn’t really have much in the way of little design details that subtly add to the design.
Cook and Halena have bracelets, Maynie has a purse, Ellie’s whole outfit is full of eye catching design oddities.
And Pom and Watty just feel very basic in terms of visual design by comparison, especially Pom, who really isn’t standing out at all outside the higher detail hyper card art.
And Watty’s whole outfit being a single t-shirt plus the hair accessories(?) isn’t really comparing to the previous designs by level of detail, the fish tail doesn’t really add up to much when characters like Cook, Arnelle and Lulu have way more going on in their design than single defining unusual body parts.
I did appreciate the more elaborate designs, even for characters I don’t personally like, sorry Arnelle, I hope anything moving forward sticks to that style.
Please have a rerun in the future.
