This was a troll post from 11 years ago.
It was stupid and immature. Move along.

Also I would like to point out the store page and game name are highly false advertisments.

" Unlike most, some are actually based on real events. One of them, takes place in a haunted forest, near a cemetery, on the borders of a city"

Oh really? So you are claiming the events within this game are historically true and can be proven to have occured? If so may I please show you to the James Randi Educational Foundation where James Randi has a 1 million dollar reward to anyone that can prove the supernatural. Surely with your claim you can show us where this "haunted forest" is and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt it is haunted.

Based on real events doesn't mean that they ARE real events. There is a difference. Have you never watched a movie that was "based on a trued story"? There's always TONS of differences between the film and the incident it is based on. It's stupid, yes, but it's not making the claim you think it is. Also, if you're going to say false advertisements you should be prepared to present more than one example.

As for the offensive bit: well, you're entitled to feel however you want to. I personally don't find it any more offensive whether it's the Pope being crucified or an average person. To each their own really. But in regards to the Mohammad comment, the reason nobody would put a representation of him in a game is because of the potential violent backlash that would stem from it. Sure, people will get mad over the Pope being used in a game, but probably not to the point of violence. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just do a little Google search.

All things aside, this game doesn't look all that good.

So just because one group will punch you, you can just offend another group? That logic.

I don't find that offensive at all, even though I'm an Atheist. All the Popes in history were just men, nothing more or less than that. What makes them any better than anyone else? Nothing really, they are just in a better position to argue about it. It might offend 'muricans, Latinos and the Polish, but it's not offending anyone else.

More like because one group will send assassins after you, and use improvised explosives, while the other is rather peaceful, in comparison. You might get some dirty looks, but even christianity's most zealous groups don't pull the kind of insane crap that Islam's more radical groups do. Sure, there are some crazy christians, but they're nowhere near as organized, or out for blood, as the groups that resort to murder, to "defend" their god.

As a latino, I can safely say that it doesn't offend most of us. Maybe some of the more religious types in Mexico, and the southern United States, but not all of us have pictures of Jesus all over the place, or even give a damn about the guy. Personally, I feel that quite a few of the popes, especially the ones from before modern times, were huge jackasses.
Sturmgewehr_44 2 Apr, 2014 @ 6:01pm
Yes, like Pope Urban II, or Pope Innocent III. Those Borgia's too...
ChunkyMonkey 2 Apr, 2014 @ 6:41pm
Yes, I think it is inappropriate. I mean no one will dare show the Muslims' prophet Mohammad in some way tha they may consider disrespectful because you know what will follow.
I wouldn't stop the game from release or anything, but I know I won't buy it now. (I am also not a Catholic)

And basically your response is irrelevant since you state you're not offended. I doubt your personal views are relevant to the discussion. Everyone knows that Atheists exist. Someone being an Atheist doesn't mean at all that they share the view like "I don't believe in these things, therefore it is ok to offend anybody."

In Islam any picture of the prophets is considered a form of idolatry and yes we do believe in Jesus (Isa), Noah (Nūḥ - نوح) , Moses (Mūsa) , Solomon ( Sulaymān)

Getting to the point video games should try not to offend any faith in anyway even I'm not Christian they shouldn't of put it in so they don't spark any type of flaming between individuals of the same or different religions
Junoh 3 Apr, 2014 @ 6:07am
It's their choice. Why should people have to sacrifice their creative freedom so others don't get offended? If you had to worry about every single person's feelings before releasing a game then video games would be tame and boring.

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what." - Stephen Fry

Are you serious or just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head. Who cares why should a game walk egg shells around an ancient fairy tale that was written by men who consumed magic mushrooms whilst writing the "sciptures"

It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ videogame, I could give less than 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about profanity and religious crap.
Look at that idiot who asked for a refund because of the baptism part on bioshock infinite, I can't find words to describe those people.

It's always because of idiots that we get censorships, look at shadow warrior reboot for an example. Where's the swearings? And the sexist jokes?
It's a complete different game compared to the original, just think about duke nukem without violence and trash talk or carmageddon without pedestrians and gore. I even saw a few people asking for a profanity option on Goat Simulator.

But that's not enough and people need to throw in religion too.

So here we are, in the year 2014 with huge censorships on every game that comes out because of boobs, gore and religion.

You don't like something? Then don't play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game instead of asking for a patch and ruin the game for everyone else. #endrant
