the game lags a stutters from 1-80 fps only slightly stabalize itself when not moving anything in game from 20-60 fp, while my laptop is not extremely strong it should handle the game from 20 years ago well enough at the lowest setting possible, even the ingame menu lags and stutters to hell and back. IF someone can help with troubleshooting or tell me what can i do to fix it i really would apreaciate it. I see a mass outbreak of X3 crash reports with no solutions. Does anynoe out there have a working copy? If so where did you buy it. (i'm asking because i'm investigating this outbreak)

I have all four X3 Games in my Library. I honestly do not have a firm grip on how the four relate. Is one of them the "Base Game" and others DLC or expansions? Are they all stand-alone? Is there a suggested order in which to play them? Is it as simple as playing them in order released? DO all four need to be d/l'd and combined into 1 game? Senile questions, but I thank you for the responses......
