nostalgic childhood game

why is it paid now? i didn't really play this much but it was a good game, can't play it anymore since its paid.

Creativerse was my absolute favorite game for a long time. I used to jump into it every day after school, just totally immersed. There was something so satisfying about crafting, and the world was just filled with magic. The mobs were cute and funny, and it was clear the devs really cared about the game. It had this charm that you could feel in every little detail.

But then, everything changed. The game got an update that forced you to pay $20 to keep your world. At that point, I’d put so much time into building a huge world with my friends, countless hours, all of our progress, all our cosmetics, it was all gone in an instant. We were just kids, and none of us had the money or a way to pay for it. The devs’ decision felt like a punch in the gut. Everything we worked for was wiped out by a paywall.

From that point, the magic of the game slowly faded. The updates became less frequent, and the community started shrinking. It’s honestly sad to see what the game has become now, there are barely any players left. Back when I played, everyone had their own world that others could join. My world had over 200 players in it, and we all built homes, farms, and structures together. It was such a fun, creative, and social experience. Now, it’s just… empty.

The core of the game is still there, exploring the biomes, discovering mobs (Leafi will always be my favorite), and getting lost in the world, but the charm that once made it special is gone. The paywall update just killed it for me. I think the devs lost sight of what made the game great, and now it feels more like a forgotten project than something worth investing in.

Still, I’m grateful for the memories. Creativerse gave me some of the best moments of my gaming childhood. It was a good run while it lasted, and I’ll always remember it fondly.
