You don't have to buy the game if you played it in the past - only new players are supposed to buy the game.

If you are trying to launch the game and you get the outdated promo applet asking you to buy the game it should be enough to validate / reinstall Creativerse from your library.

If that still doesn't work please check the game properties inside Steam, make sure you have the TDE DLC in there and that it is marked as enabled (i.e. the checkbox ticked) - then perform the validation / reinstallation again.

If that still doesn't work let me know and we'll perform a manual granting to fix the problem.
