As for the number of players, yes, there aren't a lot around right now.
Let me tell you a little story.
Once upon a time there was a little boy. That little boy was pushed around for most of his childhood, told he couldn't do things even though he knew he had the ability to do them.
Over time, that little boy grew into a grumpy old man.
When he was a little boy, he didn't have money for games. Now he is a grumpy old man, he has money for games.
That grumpy old man wanted to find a single-player survival game he could play whenever HE wanted. He'd spent his childhood being told he couldn't do things he knew were possible, and he was utterly *finished with that dynamic now*.
But everywhere the man turned, single-player survival games required an online connection. Even Java Minecraft eventually needed a launcher.
It took him about three years, but he found one lone game (which will not be named) that suited his needs. One game. Out of all of human history, only one game provided that for him. There may be others, but he doesn't know of them.
He plays this game every day now, and buys copies for others to play with him.
Not having online DRM made this game MORE money.
This game is not Creativerse - but Creativerse was much higher on the list than this game was.
He liked the graphics and building on Creativerse much more, but alas it was not to be.
A shame, really.
---------------------------------------
The devs picked what's more convenient for them - and the grumpy old man did the same.
it's too late for the grumpy old man, but maybe the devs might consider not pushing away others.
Then the servers went away. I gave everyone a copy of the world and. We all went our separate ways.
Soon?
Then the world servers went down ..... and I lost all my friends. I had built so much and lost it all, whole towns and trans continental highways, fleets of ships, and under water Atlantis city, forts and large airports and train systems, and its all gone. I was so disappointed, I still have my world but its lonely and I dont play anymore. Now I play on other games I since discovered that are single player, but that still let me be creative.
Even with any new updates, I dont know if Creativerse will ever win me back.
