Has anyone been able to collect a Holiday Gift? I see it on the map, but when I get to the location nothing is there!

Workstations ie. cooker, extractor, storage containers often become in-accessible with a message "Object already in use". The only way I know how to make them accessible is to quit the game and reload it, which seems to work if only for a duration before they become in-accessible again. Should I be doing something other than that? Thank you...
