Will we ever get Kane & Lynch 3?
This is the greatest criminal drama ever, and I want these 2 crazy dudes back so much.

it's very unlikely, as management often times is too stupid to see the potential in these niche genres - i do think there is huge potential for this franchise to still be successful, if they play their cards right and keep the style similair, refine mechanics a lot more and make the game way bigger overall.

the choices of modern, proper dark and gritty games are at an all-time low, so conversations about old classics such as manhunt or kane & lynch are beginning to become more frequent again - there's certainly a market for it to be successful.

"Hatred" for example sold extremely well, simply because it broke certain "acceptable" barriers and was a little TOO edgy - but that game had nowhere near the stylized depth that kane & lynch 2 offers. so yeah, there's money to be made - but it has to be done right.

So true. It could blow up and the public is ready for it. But the gaming industry is in weird place right now, or in soft hands, if you will. They continue to make politically correct products, no realistic violence, adapted for children, diverse and inclusive bs, don't matter if it fits or not. But these same products are filled with real exploitation of human habbits and etc. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Even Hatred, while it was so successful, there is no sight of a sequel on the horizon. Devs got canceled so hard by the industry, they probably don't have funds for the idea anyway.
Well think of it like this. There is a list of "Ugly" Games. Like the person above mentioned, "Hatred" fits that title. However, the most recent "Ugly" game that was released was Ready or Not made by an Indie company "Void" or if we are talking about a Triple A company, then it would be "Naughty Dogs", Their game being "The Last of Us 2". There was also "Max Payne" by Remedy and Rockstar. "Grand Theft Auto 4" and "ManHunt" both by rockstar and there is some more down the line.

I can definitely see a revival for the series but the company would need to go as far as actually being able to make both a sacrifice and a scar to their reputation because lets just imagine Kane and Lynch 3 being more gruesome than The Last of Us 2. Again, there is a market but how big is that market compared to cancel culture?
Last of Us Part 2 is ultra violent indeed. But it was made by one of their own, and it had an agenda to push. The issue is not transgender or lesbian characters tho, but rather an overall state of affairs. They wouldn't be able to make that game without all that. The gaming industry is runned by progressive leftists and they don't want musculine violence in AAA space, video-gaming space period. The funniest thing is that there is a market for it, and cancel culture enthusiasts don't even buy games that much, but the problem is on the top. Many many studios go woke because woke people infiltrate (Volition being the recent example), lots of investors with an agenda, etc.

The public is most definitely not ready for it though, there are still a ton of people who complain about the amount of violence in new games, I don't think it would do very well.

I don't hear them much ngl. Noone complained about God of War being brutally violent, for example. Of course, it's violence against gods and elves. I think there would be an uproar against Manhunt 3 if that was announced but not too big of an uproar. It always been more of a political issue, and industry moderated itself as a response to that.

hopefully, unlikely though
I wouldnt say its the greatest criminal drama ever, Many people says these kane and lynch games are terrible, But I enjoyed them. Kane and Lynch are very interesting characters which I can relate to in many ways.
This series was the first time I have seen Schizophrenia portrayed in a game, which was nice to see for a change. Stupid people will probably play these games, and think everyone with schizophrenia is shotgun wielding mass murderer, and you know what?
I think I am ok with that, stay off our ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lawns

He's pretty negative about it lol. I'll read that tho.
Square Enix has the rights to Kane and Lynch, they kept it after IO became independent for whatever reason. Eidos would've killed Hitman in favor of K/L if they had the opportunity pre-Square Enix buyout.
I think it's clear the world needs some Kane & Lynch right now. The industry stagnates hella hard right now.
I'd be happy with just a remaster of both games. Bug/stability fixes and whatnot.
