Same thing on first three launches. "Program not responding" when I click anywhere in window. Then I launch one more time and all good. Default language is Chinese. So click on the pink/orange triangle in the bottom centre of screen. Then see menu options (in Chinese). Select the second from bottom menu option for "Set Up" (in Chinese!). The toggle second button down on left side to get English.

Ok, the game just downloaded some files and I still get the same looping video but now in full screen... what a improvement! LOL

Developers are reading comments and they are working on the issue, I hope they find a solution to the problem soon

The new patch does not seemed to fix the issue. I still faced issues such as the sizing issue of the game which prevented me to press certain options. For example I will be stuck in the settings as I cannot press the exit button. The fast forward and skip button alignment is also out of wack. My story is still stuck at the point before the electrocution ending and refuse to move forward. Hope they do a play test with their patches before releasing the patches so that we as players would not be disappointed with the patch attempts

Yes, my previously posted "solution" no longer works for me either. Nor does the Updates from the past two days.

The first update puts the game in full screen mode, like you are all already saying. The other update addresses music synchronisation and black screen issues - not the same thing.

I also tried disabling the Steam Overlay which seemed to work last night but, again, no longer works as a solution today.

In the News section, the developers say they are still committed to the product, so hopefully that will translate into some more relevant updates from them.

Do people with this issue have dual monitor setups on their computer? I know I do. I was wondering if that was a common denominator in the bugs, as some users get it and others don't.

I don't have dual monitor. But I have the loop starting bug.

Hello, we've noticed your feedback and suspect that the issue may be due to compatibility problems with the video format. We are replacing it with a format that has better compatibility and expect to update within the next day or two.

The electrocution ending happens because in the dream wedding part at the end of Chapter 2, you didn't find the correct Xiaoxi. You can try going left first, then forward in the darkness. You'll encounter the real Xiaoxi, but be careful not to choose the first option, or you'll still get electrocuted.

The update of 4 and 6 may doesn't solve the problem.
Disabled Steam overlay and cloud save, delete the 2 files liked to the cloud save, change nothing.

Hi ! If you have the looping video issue, try this : change the operating system language in Windows 10 : Settings > Time & Language > Language. Choose "中文 (中华人民共和国)" (="Simplified Chinese"). It should fix the problem.
