Hi Velev Community and Fans,

Thank you all so much for the love and support you've shown us, from the very first playtest to the Early Access launch.

Today, we have some difficult news to share with you.

As some of you may have already noticed, we weren’t able to reach the point we needed to continue supporting and servicing Velev. Despite our best efforts, we couldn’t secure the investment we needed from VCs or larger partners. With limited options, we made the decision to launch in Early Access, hoping for the best.

We understand that Velev was still in a premature state when it launched as a paid title on Steam. It wasn’t an ideal situation, but it was the only path we had at the time.

With that said, we are preparing to step away from development and bring this chapter to a close.

It is heartbreaking. Our team poured so much passion and energy into this project, but we couldn’t quite reach the goals we had set. Still, hearing your feedback, encouragement, and kind words along the way meant the world to us.

We are truly and deeply grateful to everyone who playtested, supported, and believed in Velev.

Here’s what comes next: Velev will transition to a Free-to-Play model, and all purchases will be fully refunded. The server will shut down, but the date has not been set yet

Wow, the first day of Early Access flew by!

We hit a few bumps: bugs, some unexpected issues, and even a server outage (ouch). It definitely gave us a cold sweat, but we managed to patch the most critical problems quickly.

I’ve been reading through all your comments, feedback, and bug reports. I'm currently reorganizing our priorities based on what you've shared. Thank you so much for playing, supporting us, and taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. It truly means a lot to the team.

Alright, enough with the behind-the-scenes talk. Let’s get into what’s new in this update, which just went live a few minutes ago.

This patch mostly focuses on bug fixes and reflects some of the feedback we received through our Discord channel.

• Fixed an issue where the Rogue's skill set did not switch after using Alter Ego (R Skill)
  
• Fixed a bug where the chat window was not visible
  
• Fixed interaction and vision issues when using Twinklelion (Pocket Item)
  
• Fixed a bug where the extraction rope became invisible when spawning in a bush
  
• Fixed an issue where the extraction rope could spawn on the river

• Removed the “Wishlist us to unlock Paladin” button, which was mistakenly still visible after the playtest
  
• Updated the Isle of Drowned Memories map

• Adjusted the chat sound volume for better clarity
  
• Adjusted the range of Paladin’s skill, Inspiration, to match its indicator
  
• Increased the maximum combat power for Fairy Shore from 150 to 180

To elaborate on the game updates,

• We quickly removed the “Wishlist us to unlock Paladin” button. This was supposed to be gone after the last playtest, but somehow it slipped through and stayed in the game.
  
• There were also a few terrain objects that were placed a bit off on some maps. Those have now been corrected.
  
• Lastly, we expanded the allowed Combat Power range for our easier map, Fairy Shore, to give new players more opportunities to settle in and get familiar with the game.

Legendary items have been reworked.
Mythic items, the highest tier of gear, are now available!

🏆 New Rank System
A competitive ranking system has been introduced for players who love a challenge.

💎 Treasure Drops (PvP Incentive)
During sessions, high-value treasure can now drop randomly to encourage PvP action!

🎵 New Boss Room BGMs
New background music has been added to boss rooms for a more immersive experience.

🍻 Tavern Open!
A new open chat area where you can find teammates, make friends, or just talk about the game!

⚡ Skill Reaction Improvements
Based on playtest feedback, skill reaction times have been improved for faster and more responsive controls.

🖥️ UI Updates
Updated equipment icons, HUD, timers, and more for a cleaner look and feel.

🧟 Elite Monster Updates
Elite monsters have been made a bit more "gentle."

🤖 AI Character Improvements
AI characters now move and act more like real players (though not perfect yet!).

🎒 Launcher & Inventory Improvements
We've minimized glitches, errors, and slow item movement within the inventory.

Unfortunately, this playtest does not support MacBooks. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Our development team is working hard to include MacBook support in the next test.
