While this game initially didn't seem very interesting to me, its high ranking as the second-best FMV after 'Love is All Around (LiAA)' has drawn my curiosity to explore it further. This review will closely examine the game and compare it with LiAA.
1) 'Beauties, please don't disturb my study' is the direct translation of the Chinese name '美女，请别影响我学习' for this game. This title clearly describes the storyline of the game: the player character is engaged in studying and encounters beautiful women who distract his focus on study.
2) This game comes close to capturing the romance of Campus Love and delivers a fairly realistic yet humorous experience. Campus Love typically represents infatuation and is still far from the depth of true love. This is the primary concept the game aims to delve into.
3) The appearance of the main female actors is very natural, closely resembling how people the main male actor might encounter in 'Ladies' School Prince' appear, rather than having actors suddenly appear one after another. This contributes to a realistic simulation.
4) Similar to LiAA, this game features 6 main female actors, spans 6 chapters, and offers 6 personalized endings for each female lead. The structure closely mirrors that of LiAA, and the length of the content is approximately the same.

1) This game uses collected items as keys to unlock certain options. It’s a clever and realistic mechanism that informs players they need to address specific actions from the past to unlock particular selection options in the FMV.
2) The QTEs enhance interaction with the cutscenes, contributing to a more engaging gameplay experience.
3) Unlike LiAA, this game does not repeat the mistake of requiring enough favorability points to proceed to the next chapter. The correct approach for an FMV game on the first playthrough is to allow players to make each choice only once and play through to the end to fully experience the game's stories without prematurely revealing the plot. After completing each chapter, players are given the option to review the storyline or continue to the next chapter, allowing them to take a break or decide to continue playing.

2) I did not feel like I was the main male actor in this game; instead, it felt more like I was playing from a third-person perspective in a first-person view. This might be because many actions that define the character’s personality are performed automatically, providing fewer opportunities for players to make choices that influence the character's traits. When compared with 'Vanity Fair: The Pursuit', it becomes clear how well it defines character traits through player choices.
3) While the game features a soundtrack, it is not as exceptional as that in 'Love is All Around'. The soundtrack sometimes brings excitement but at other times feels plain. A well-chosen soundtrack can contribute up to 50% of the game's excitement.

3) The Sun sign represents the inner self and objectives. I included the Rising sign (outer self, actions, and behavior) for a much clearer understanding of the character's personality.

1) Unlike "LiAA," this game is designed for students with the intention of imparting valuable lessons about the campus love experience and encouraging students to focus on their studies.
2) Campus love typically represents infatuation, which is a state of intense admiration or attraction, but generally does not lead to deeper or more enduring relationships. However, this game provides players with important lessons about understanding a person's personality. It emphasizes that for a good relationship, both individuals need to understand each other and share similar interests and aspirations, while also learning what actions are advisable or should be avoided.
3) This is a good game for students to play. Am I right that this is a game for students? ... Let's look at the final ending of this game, the Final Fantasy ending. This is not only the best ending but also the best lesson for students.

If this game were to be compared with LiAA as a true love simulation, it might be considered lacking a touching love story, with a score of 9/10. This game may not be suitable for players who prefer a touching love story. However, for students, play this game instead of LiAA (which is too deep and could disturb your studies :p)

4) There are so many kisses to the screen in this game; hopefully, the students have had enough satisfaction with the kissing experience and can now joyfully focus on their studies. Has anyone counted the total kisses for each of the female main actors?

I wish the developers (or the localisation company?) knew that unlike the Chinese language, English has way more fonts than just Times New Roman, but that's a very common thing when it comes to Chinese products. The English translation was off the mark a few times (you can probably tell by the game title already... I know very little about Chinese, but out of curiosity, I looked up its name in Chinese, and apparently it is 美女，请别影响我学习, which can be roughly translated to ‘Beauty, please don't disturb my study’ and which makes much more sense taking into account the game intro). Sometimes I could see the code with time stamps instead of the dialogue text; once or twice the text did not fit in on the screen, and the classic ‘too much text and too little time to read it’ is also present, but fortunately all of the above is only encountered rarely, so it does not really take away from the game, which is quite entertaining and has a good cast. A few hours into the game, I started getting some in-game error messages claiming my Steam was offline (which it wasn't); that error would not let me continue to play the game (restarting the game usually helped). Also, reaching 100% completion is not tricky at all, so I would give this game some brownie points for that alone!

At the very beginning, you weigh all of your choices on who you want to please or what kind of person you are, you might try to balance between the girls, and then the milf character appears. the game just ended.

One of the best (if not THE best) Chinese FMV VN as of August'24: even if the plot and character arcs are mostly anime-esque and more comedic than romantic, production value is surprisingly high, with lots of various locations, and the acting is actually good (much better than in 99% of the other similar games).
All in all, a good entry point into the world of Chinese FMV games for you, lonely lurker ;)

p.s. the peeps raving about Serena Wen character are not joking. Top-tier girl and actress.
