I've read that and know it. But, if I understand correctly, my native language is German, I should now be able to find purple systems on the galaxy map. but there are none. Or do I have to do all the atlas quests again first?

Yes, and this snip shows the main story quest are end game.

A Harmonic Camp is a building type that was added when the Autophage race was introduced a few major updates back. They're abandoned camps of a sort that have terminals that you access for lore, finding a crashed ship iirc, and there's a puzzle to solve to unlock the terminal and open up the nearby Sentinel multitool case so you can look at and buy said multitool if you would like.

You can find Harmonic Camps rarely while exploring, but the Autophage themselves and their questline are post-main story, so they take a while to get to.

It's end game stuff, you have to complete pretty much all other quests first.

If only there were a website with a repository of game information, indexed AND searchable. Man, that would be something....

You've got a lot of catching up to do. Did you think you could be away from the game for that long and nothing would change? There have been several major updates since then. I suggest you go to the wiki and read all the info on updates since 2019.

Ive done all that and more, im using an old save where ive done everything and the quest still wont happen

Thank you for your help, that was the right approach. I've finished the settlement, Artemis' quest line too, all that's missing now is the autophage. Thanks again.

I had a hard time getting the autophage quest to trigger on my original 2016 save. It starts, I think when a random ship appears and you hail it, then follow it to a dissonant system. I am not sure what activity caused it to trigger. Have you done the base building tutorial missions with the specialists? I had finished the whole quest line long before bases or freighters were available. I had to advance those a bit if I recall.

A long time ago, the Settlement quests had to be completed through A Trace of Metal, but that was removed a long, long time ago.

All you need to unlock the Autophage questlines now is:

• Complete The Purge (the final Artemis quest)
  
• Locate & enter a Harmonic camp (just requires an Echo Locator)

After that, you just need to warp to a fresh system.

The one I have found was labeled on the galaxy map, so its more like searching for water or dissonant systems. once you unlock the purple systems, that is.

You do not need to system hop to find them. just scroll the massive galaxy map.
