Markers vanished
Every single marker in my game is gone, I get nothing at all showing on my compass or in my visual, even hitting C to scan for hydrogen and carbon etc doesnt show them up at all, it also means I cant particularly do the new quest either, as I have no idea where to look as that too is never marked.

Check if Options>General>Visual Settings>HUD is enabled.
Oh i have had the no markers bug before.... usually a game reload fixes it.

Since this new worlds update however, it has gotten much worse.

Today i was trying to set up a quartzite mine on one of the moons of my new gas giant.
I took off in the buggy to start marking hotspots.... turn around to check my distance from base, no base.... what about ship? No ship, NADA

I did a reload, got a base marker, no ship marker still though. So i was able to go around placing beacons at hotspots, then loocked around and noticed i got no markers for the beacons i just placed.

Its frustrating

Im now well in to double digits on restarts and even a full re-install; nothing at all, so the game is entirely unplayable at the moment *sigh* I

Try deleting the download cache, then verify files. Follow that up with a reboot. In that order.

The servers have been overloaded for about a day now, so since you're already rebooting, cycle your router too, just to cross another potential issue off the list.
Same, This happens when I'm in the same star system as my freighter, no hud no icon
