Hi there. I'm having some problems with textures turning black. After a few minutes of playing -or sometimes straight away - when I open the inventory, the sky starts turning black, then goes completely black. Graphics card drivers are up-to-date and I've tried reinstalling the game.

I am getting similar blacking out of backgrounds, consistently when I go to search cargo or something. (Forgive me I don't know the lingo yet. I just started this game today). I am using a laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 proc and 7700s graphics...

Yes I have a AMD Asus Rx 7600 xt. My cpu is a Ryzen 7 7700x running win 11

Hello Games, the devs, have a bug reporting website here > https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us < click on the 'Submit a request' text in the top right of the screen and fill out the form. You can attach screenshots, videos and save games as well.

It's generally thought they don't read these forums so this is the best way to inform them, and the more folk who do, the quicker its likely to get fixed.

While this will not fix the issue instantly HG are heavily into bug fixing right now following the Worlds 2 update, so with luck it won't take them long to nail this one.

Got similar issue when I open menu or speak to NPC, the blurred part in the background becomes completely black. Playing on AMD GPU too, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, win11

I had this as well on my AMD 7900 XTX. I set the ambient occlisuin to maximum, which fixed it until the next restart. Then I updated my driver and it seems ok now.

My GPU software have no update, My version is 24.12.1 and was released on November the 27. I think I should wait for hotfix.

My husband and I are both also having this issue. His drivers are up to date, and I am in the process of updating mine.
We have the AMD RX 7700 XT.

Currently playing with settings to see if it makes any difference.

I was having this as well, AMD 7600, playing on full screen borderless, changed to full screen and it SEEMS to have gone, so try changing to that.

This seems to have fixed it for me as well. Thank you so much for the suggestion :)

I have this exact same issue, I run a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and a Radeon 7900xt. Whenever I see the "void" to start I turn v-sync off, or to triple buffered, and it will go away for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse and repeat. I feel like the issue itself is tied to the way AMD handles lighting, and seeing as they changed the lighting system for both indoors and outdoors, it stands to reason.

I hope they fix it soon. when i try and do them puzzles with the numbers in the buildings on the planets only the answers appear on the bottom right not the Puzzle it self. Its just black.

this issue with math puzzles it seems it's for everyone.

Ok, I still get the void in conversation zoom-ins. Very annoying.
