It's got great bones, but even at almost a year .. there are still a good few things that should have been implemented and still can be. I did just start and not sure if it's when you upgrade, but just to name a few:

- Custom Keybindings (cmon guys)
- Give us a setting choice to switch from 12 hour clock to 24 hour clock
- Create a character (it's nice even in single player to have an identity but maybe that's just me)
- Instead of saying "put your tray away" just add a double click prompt to put it away for me
- Some banter while they are drinking in talk bubbles would be a nice touch of immersion
- Adding emotes like "wiping a class with a towel" (classic bartender), wave to customers, etc.
- Please, let me close the doors of the Tavern when I'm closed
- Add passerby villagers that are going to another destination, or just taking a lovely walk
- Extend the dialog box background to fit all of the dialog (every sentence is too long for it)
- Be able to check-in on customers to earn extra points (+10 so its a little less than the first greeting)
- Why can't I put the paintings on the walls NEXT TO the customers' tables??

Great work guys! Keep it up and hopefully you will even after the release of the new sim.

I just don't recommend it. Maybe if you can get it for $1.99, go for it. It's not a horrible game, but after a few hours the flaws surface and never really go away. It'd be better if you could get better at tasks to complete them faster. If you could be more direct with the fairies tasks, so they don't take on a 6 top at a snail's pace. If there was any hint of fantasy outside of the fairies and dialog.

It's just the bones of a potentially fun game, but that's where it ends.

There is no progression per se, as every level just adds more chores for you to do and more plates to juggle. The automation is stillborn due to the fact your fairies (why aren't there human workers anyway?) are designed to be worse at any task than you. If you make them cook - they will never cook perfect food, so you'll miss out on the money bonus and will take reputation hits every time a critic visits. If you make them wait - they can only carry one plate a time, and to put things into perspective - you can carry 12. Some of the most tedious tasks - restocking, hauling water, chopping wood - can never be automated at all, making the game more of a lumberjack simulator than a tavern manager one.

It has enough content for some 10 hours, I liked being able to move tables around, change difficulty in an immersive manner (higher prices = better margins, less customers, less restocking) as well as those chesty character designs. Get it on sale, maybe it'll get better eventually? Although, given the main menu greeted me with a pop-up "check out our next game" - I wouldn't hold my hopes high.
