It makes a nice change to play a simulator game and not see the same old boring square room in a shop, the same counter, till and 2 sets of shelves. most of these games add nothing new and are often plagued with problems.

Tavern Manager Simulator is a Fantasy Simulator set in a medieval type pub or tavern if your prefer.

Starting off with a run down establishment in need of serious repair, tidying up and cleaning, you buy your first kegs of ale to sell, do a little pulling pints mini game and serve them on a tray to the regular customers.

Chat to customers to improve your reputation, tidy up after them and collect the cash, if you are friendly and chat, you may even get extra tips.

Everything you do earns you XP, you level up and unlock upgrades for the pub, everything from decorations to tables and chairs for customers to sit on, I did find it amusing that the game advises you, that you need a 4 person table to seat 3-4 people, you don't say! ;()

While you start off only serving pints, this isn't for long and food, soup and lots more are added, so you have to do some cooking mini games as well, and don't forget the washing up, we all hate it but even in this game, someone has to do it!

I found the game-play loop fun but also a little repetitive, there may not be a long term curve here after you've unlocked everything but there is tons to do and unlock so you will at least get a good few hours of this and more.

The graphics style reminded a bit of the fable games with its colourful, almost cartoony style, some customers do look the same but with different coloured outfits but there is still enough diversity.

A typical fantasy tune hums along in the background and sound effects are minimal but do the job.

Considering I despise most of the "simulator" games out there I found this a breath of fresh air, a lot more fun and I actually recommend this to buy!

I wish just like the curator page, I could give this information and tell you "maybe". Tavern Manager Simulator promises a delightful experience of running your medieval tavern. Instead, it delivers a frustratingly buggy and shallow management sim that feels more like cleaning up a spilled keg than running a thriving business. The core concept has potential, but the execution is so poor it leaves a bitter aftertaste.


There are some dialogues with NPCs and Holiday Events but that's pretty much it. You are in the loop after that.


♦Resource Management: You manage stock, finances, and staff. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong.

♦Staff Management: Hire and fire staff and assign tasks. They'll mostly ignore you or get stuck on furniture.

♦Customer Satisfaction: Keep customers happy by serving them drinks and food.

♦Tavern Customization: Decorate and upgrade your tavern. Because what's the point of a broken game if it doesn't look slightly less broken?



Pros:

+The idea is charming: The concept of running a medieval tavern is appealing. Unfortunately, the execution ruins it.

+Occasionally, it almost works: In those rare moments when everything clicks, you get a fleeting glimpse of the fun the game could be. These moments get quickly repetitive

Cons:

-Bug-Ridden: Seriously, the bugs are a major problem. I was under the ground two times for no reason.

-Shallow Gameplay: Lack of depth in the management mechanics.

-Frustrating AI: Staff and customer AI are both terrible.

-Poor UI: Makes the game harder to play than it needs to be.

-Lack of Polish: The entire game feels unfinished.



Tavern Manager Simulator is a frustrating and disappointing experience. The charming concept is completely undermined by the numerous bugs, shallow gameplay, and terrible AI. It's a game that's more likely to leave you with a headache than a satisfied thirst.

My recommendation would be;

Avoid this game like a bad batch of ale. There are far better management sims out there that will respect your time and money. This one needs a lot more work before it's even remotely enjoyable.

I love this game to the point that when a new update comes out i play it though. The managing is awesome and i really love the upgrate system because i hate decor and styling. i am not really good at it.
I also love that the developers change things and make eastereggs in their games. Keep up the good work <3

Tavern Manager Simulator great. If you’ve ever wanted to run your own cozy medieval tavern, this game has everything serving drinks and food, decorating your place, and keeping customers happy with stable and hotel services. It’s super satisfying watching your little business grow!
The devs keep adding awesome updates with new features and fun improvements. It just keeps getting better! If you love chill management games with a fun vibe, definitely try it out.

Quite a fun Simulator game. It has mini games for actions such as making soup, grilling, and pouring a mug of Ale. Slowly the player unlocks ways to make the actions automated which frees the player to do other activities (such as managing the Hotel in the latest update).

It does somewhat lack endgame and quality of life upgrades, but it's pretty solid and on a good foundation.

Achievement-wise somewhat annoying. I got most of the achievements in around 12 hours, but spent like 10 more waiting for a specific NPC, the Critic, whom you have to satisfy for one of the achievements. If you value your time, I highly recommend checking beforehand how she works. None of the achievements are difficult though, just time consuming at most.

Really liking owning my own tavern and working my butt off after my real job. Its a hussle, but its run, plus you can grab drunk folk and yeet them out of your tavern, which is great!

I like performing fatality on drunk idiots while they are unconscious >:)
