Depth 2 would be an amazing idea, I feel it would be a big game.
Also, is the quests gonna get fixed lol? I feel like if it weren't so buggy me and I know others who played this game before would come back and grind those quests..

Quests seem to be working fine now. I second Depth 2.

I can remember playing this game since its launch on the many accounts I've owned. This game was basically my childhood since I am young. This was one of the very first games I started playing as a kid. As I grew older, I played less of it, but the more I played games in my childhood, the more I understood that this game was different; it changed things. Games then and even now don't have game play like depth does. And it's sad to hear that it's dying slowly. I know I am a single person, and this would have to be a collective effort from the development team. And I agree that moving on to a new game is a great idea, but I'm just saying a lot of people do support Depth 2, or at least a remaster of it. I think it would be a great idea. I've been here since day one, and the content and people I've seen and met throughout the games life were different from everything else. And I would love to see the development team at least attempt to make a depth 2, or at least see if it is feasible. I would love it, and others would love it. Especially for the people who really care about this game. Though I haven't played this game in a while, I remember it being fun, and after I post this, I'm going to play it and just see, but this game meant a lot to me, even enough to buy the son of Zippy plush that still resides on my desk counter space after all these years. That's what reminded me to even visit this again. Although this may seem like a big ask for such little in return, I think it would mean more to the people that have played this to show that you care. Because yeah, sure, lets say you do make a depth 2, and it wouldn't do that great, you would still show support for your loving and caring fans <3

I just recently switched to pc maybe a year back. Sad to see this post but it would be a total screw up not to make depth 2.
There are absolutely no other games that do this genre so well.
To think my time already cut short, is going to be cut short again is depressing honestly. Depth 2 is a must.

Not developing depth 2 would be a mistake. Underwater environments are hugely underrepresented in video games and offer a unique and fun environment to play in. This is possibly one of the best asymmetrical pvp games ever created. I personally would say it is equivalent to and perhaps even better than l4d 1 pvp. If you make depth 2 you will have cornered the market. The only reason I am convinced that no one stayed with King Tide was merely because you didn’t have the option to control a shark when you were eliminated as a diver. Not to mention depth had the best shark animations I have ever seen. I cried when I saw how terrible the shark movement in maneater was.

yes depth 2 is a must make game i alone have bought depth over 10 times (most on sale) for me and my friends. iv only ever bough 2 copies of other games on steam.

When will the game go on discount and will Depth 2 be released? If depth 2 comes out, I'll buy depth 2, but if not, I'll buy this. Please reply, I would be happy.

I know you've already said the game won't be going Free To Play due to server costs, but what happens when the servers eventually do go down? When the main brunt of costs are gone, will the game be able to be released free to play? Would give an opportunity for people that never tried the game to get into it, while not forcing the game to die earlier because it can't fund itself.

Going Free To Play just isn't an option. How do fund all the work required to go Free To Play? And how do you fund the servers needed for host Free To Play players? You can always play Depth against bots, and the server binaries for Depth are public (released many years ago), so you can host game servers if you want.

Depth is gonna be playable for a loooonnnng time

well before you shut the servers down you could release a server hosting software (if there's not already one) , so players can host their own matches. would beat the hell outta bots and ensure the game lives on even after you turn the lights off on your servers.
