We are not going to do anything to make FaceRig non-functional. We are simply going to phase out support starting in 2022.
Would be MUCH more inclined to look into this if there was an option for being able to buy a license for the software. This option was what was a good thing about Facerig even if one was unsure how much they would use the software as a whole. I never felt pressured to "get maximum use" out of facerig, which made it more fun to tinker with.
20 a month is also fairly steep if one is unsure how much use the software will see month per month, but still may need some of the options beyond what the free/demo may offer.
At least for me, never even having an option to own the product you pay for is a major negative and makes me wary of even using the software.
If you wanna be any form of technical, Apple did your idea for free with their devices, and if they or anybody else wanted to they could make something decently comparable to your service for a fixed fee or free. Don't kid yourself. THIS. IS. A. TOOL. YOU. ARE. NOT. A. UTILITY. COMPANY. OR. ENTERTAINMENT. PROVIDER. THAT. IS. BUYING. CONTENT.
it's 20 a year, not a month. Still more than I'm willing to pay for what amounts to a novelty
