They have been on indefinite hiatus for awhile with no expressed plans for a sequel or another game. Before disbanding, they released a free prototype build for "Soccer Kids" here on Steam.

They did state they might hand off the rights to someone else.

Personally, I feel that if Acid Wizard doesn't want to come back, Darkwood should lie where it fell.

It was a great experience, and a story with closure. It does not need an IP-grinding publisher to get ahold of it. We don't need a Darkwood: Andromeda. We don't need a Darkwood: Breakpoint.

I'd rather have it be a one-hit wonder, if the alternative is having a soulless sequel to muddy up my memories.

Doesn't haven't to be a follow up or another game in the same genre. Just another game.

Would love another Darkwood. Maybe one with Coop.. woulda loved to drag my friends through this lovely lovely game.
