Over 9000 Zombies!
Turret Progression
I would like to put a vote in for a couple extra attainable turret slots. Maybe you start out with 4 max, then as the waves progress or some other reason, you unlock more turret slots, maybe up to 8 max? I understand the technical (Cpu usage) and gameplay reasons for not having unlimited, but I am also sort of feeling like there may not be enough progression elements.

But I still am enjoying the game overall.

Also, another thing that would be cool would be adding some tangible benefit to protecting your house/base. Maybe something you need to keep inside it, to protect that gives you a buff? Like a food generator and you have a hunger meter that when low causes you to move slower? But the food generator attracts the horde, so you need to keep in a base.

Right now (and correct me if I am wrong) there is no reason to protect/fix the base.

Thats a good idea actually. I have thought about making some sort of "Turret Control Module" that would be a structure that provides power to the turrets. Upgrading the "Turret Control Module" could then provide more turret slots, and add an extra element of gameplay where the player has to protect it and keep it alive or else the turrets will go offline.

There are some memory editing tricks that some people have used to force the turret limit much higher, just for fun :D

You are right, there is no game over state that will occur if you don't protect the base. Its just a tool there to use to your advantage when necessary, but will eventually be destroyed in the later levels if left unchecked.
