Frame rate drops
In multiplayer, my frame rate will usually stay at 45 fps with drops down to 35. I have a R9 290X so this seems a bit weird. The game runs fine in singleplayer.

In multiplayer there is a slightly higher CPU requirement, especially if you are hosting. This will be more processor dependent, what processor are you running?

Hmm, that should be plenty of power. It might be possible that something is hogging some CPU resources. I'd start up the game, hit cntrl+alt+delete and watch the CPU usage %, see if anything else is hogging up some resources. Might be as simple as closing your browser or shutting down some AV or something.

Does this occur during hosting, or joining, or both?

My CPU died two weeks after you made this post. I guess that's why i had performance problems. Got an i5 and the game runs fine now.

Good to hear (well not that the CPU died), but I am glad it is working nicely for you :)
