Garm, is their something I'm meant to have before this boss?

Garm is beating the brakes off me and seems way harder than he's supposed to be. Is their some story item I'm meant to get to use ageist him. Google searches want to over feed me info and spoilers.

Edit - Never mind, not supposed to be fighting him yet. Their is a whole bunch of map I'm supposed to be exploring.

Garm is pretty do-able, he's usually the first boss i go for after defeating Yolvan.

I came back after some more exploration and got him. The difficultly spike was just very suspicious. Felt like the act 2 final boss for Wukong, supposed to do a quest line to access a whole area and boss to fight for a key item before the final boss of the second act.
