This thread is used to list up the most common technical issues and how to resolve them.

Corrupted save data

The game automatically create backup save data when saving the game.
They are located in
%LOCALAPPDATA%EnderMagnolia\Saved\SaveGames

Before doing anything, we recommend that you backup the whole folder just in case

The save files are in format GameSlot_{SlotID}.sav
Their associated backups are in the format GameSlot_{SlotID}_{BackUpID}.sav

rename one of the backup save data to replace a valid slot.

Potential problems with DirectX12

Before anything, make sure your graphic drivers are up to date and check again if the issue persists.

ENDER MAGNOLIA uses DirectX12 by default, but can be set to use DirectX11 or Vulkan if you are experiencing technical issues.
To do this, you can add either "-dx11" or "-vulkan" to the "Launch options" textbox found in steam's game property.

The game is not internally tested with Vulkan or DirectX11, so there might be some visual discrepancy.

Crash with Intel 13th / 14th generation CPU's (i9 / i7)

This appears to happen on specific CPU's when it gets too busy, which can happen during loading, shader compiling or potentially if playing with no frame rate limit.

As of now, there don't seem to be a perfect solution, but different sources have reported that the following can work:

- If the CPU is overclocked, revert it to its default settings
- Install the "Intel Extreme Tuning Utility" tool and lower the "Performance Core Ratio" and lower the value to around x53

oh jeez so are the inel 13th and 14th gen to strong or something, I have a 14th gen i9, and man were the crashes bad, getting to the main menu was rough. The error I kept getting with the crash mentioned vram, but monitoring my usage with task manager on another screen while playing showed that it never went over 40% in total used, so it felt like the error message was wrong. I did limit frame rate, and that helped a lot, but still got crashes here and there. Ether way this is one that players should not be expected to be fixing on there end, they game should be able to just run on high end machinery, the 14th gen core is the top of the line intel core right now.
will there be any performance patches?
I keep having displayport signal disconnect while playing this game and only this game. It happens most frequently when in combat, so I hope it is a bug? I have a NVIDIA 3090 ti and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, so hopefully it isn't a PC specs issue. Do you have any advice for resolving the problem? I never had this with multiple playthroughs of Ender Lillies.
whens the complete game coming? I loved it, same as ender lilies, all the art and music is amazing, im literally dying to play the complete
I have this graphical problem where the outline of any object is very jittery, is there anything I can change in the settings to fix that?
My savedata was corruted after a suddem shutdown, there is something i can do to save it?
Lilac walk instead of running after some actions.

Although I set the deadzone to 10% (smallest). In several cases while running, after some actions, Lilac just walking, forcing me to release the stick then move it again for her to run.

When my stick is at max and not back to its free (center) position, I expect her to keep running.
This is very frustrating especially when fighting boss. I failed to run away from the boss's attacks many times because suddenly she walks!!!
just letting you know the bracelet achievement didnt unlock. ive cleared the entire map and got both endings, with every other achievement popping and the shop bought out, so i assume its a bug.
Lilac won't hold on to ledges anymore. I already verified the integrity of game files but that didn't fix it. :/

Mine was rather minor... the game runs smooth for me but a few in-game materials (e.g., smokes) become grids

Did you customize your Keyboard settings and allow mouse input?
By default this game doesn't use mouse input

But I really encourage you to use a controller. I was once a PC player with only keyboard and mouse, but after using controller I'm now in love with it for almost all game types except FPS.

I just set my main attack to left click and dash on right click in the game settings. I did the same thing for Ender Lilies and never had a single problem so not sure what's going on.

The Headless Gold Statue no longer causes scrap to drop once you upgrade it. If you don't upgrade it, scrap will drop.
I noticed while streaming that everything on my pc (except for the game) have a bad interaction with the respite "Steel District Bench" might have some memory leaks as switching to any other screen will fix the problem immediately.

While the game runs properly, everything on my system is slowed down. I tried resetting the game but the problem only ceased after changing screens.

I'm running on a Ryzen 7 5700X, 32GB ram and Nvidia 4060ti and Windows 10.
