If you are going to do any work on this game be aware of a glitch I recently found which fubars the whole game. At Lake Lohr, at the tower on the island where you kill the wraith to obtain the Elder Spirit's favor, if you are playing an Urgoth, you will be unable to complete the quest. My Urgoth fighter is unable to complete climbing the 2nd ladder. It halts him at the rim of the tower roof just inches from reaching the shrine. I have made 3 attempts from 3 previous saves. I have made certain I had a scroll of Dispel Spiritual Barrier on my person just in case. I even stripped the character of items in case it was his weapons blocking his progress. I will attempt to take the Talendor route and circumvent the issue but I don't hold out any hope.

You can just walk up the Boundary walls in many places, you dont actually have to get access to the elven fort. You can also just take the East path out of the first towns north gate, go up to the fields and come around the back side of the elven town. Just look on a wiki or gamebanshee for the full map to see alternate routes.

That's an old glitch. In the Gold version my brother and I went into multiplayer, loaded our save as a lizardman instead of a Urgoth, climbed the ladder, saved and then loaded back in as the Urgoth.
