I don't know if this is your case, but the times when a mission doesn't let me advance or options don't appear like in the video, it's because I'm in a public session. The missions do not fail me when I am in invitation sessions

This has happened to me in invite only sessions and as well, with other picture taking missions.

try photographing yourself with the podium vehicle, i had this problem when i had to do a cayo perico setup and it works most of the time

It also happened the same problem to me while trying to get an interest point on cayo perico.

then photograph yourself with the thing you need to photograph, somehow it works for me

what you did wrong was try this in a public session.. don't expect the game to work right unless you're playing in a clean private session with those you can trust.. Even switching lobbies after encountering a modder leaves the modder's crap in your memory. To fully clean your session, go to story mode and go into a new session (don't rejoin the one you just left).. or restart the game..
