Employee photo back ground colour

Ive looked in the history and cant find anything relating to why the different colours and why they change. Please advise as is this telling me something.

When you open the screenshot in Steam there's an address at the top, right click on that and select "copy link address" and paste here.

The color shows their current status. Driving, resting, etc...
Switch to Table view or click on the driver for details.
