Has potential, but holy crap hire some halfway decent American Voice Actors.

♥♥♥♥ I have a decent Mic and am American. You give me lines and I will gladly donate my time. Legitimately the biggest gripe I could think of about the game.

Conceptually, this is an interesting spin on stationary shooters. Good Kill, however, is plagued with issues that make it a mechanically horrible shooter.

- Insane levels of mouse acceleration
└> Aiming down sights makes low sensitivity mice swing around wildly, worse still when you finally upgrade to a door gun.
└> Unable to change this setting.

- Hitbox inconsistencies
└> Some environmental assets have hitboxes that extend well beyond their visible geometry.
└> Enemy taking cover behind one of these assets requires the player to circle around said enemy until they finally find the sweet spot that allows them to kill the enemy.
└> If you are unlucky in finding that sweet spot, then expect to soak up a large amount of damage while you circle around a sometimes solitary and mission critical enemy.
└> Potential to hamper your ability to successfully complete a mission, especially if this happens in earlier checkpoints, as your helicopter soaks up irreparable damage.

- Brain dead AI
└> Not really game-breaking in my short playtime.
└> Very odd seeing friendly AI crouched next to enemy AI and not being logically - i.e. enemy and friendly AI do not engage one another.
└> Friendly fire is active, so watch out if friendly AI decides to chill out with a clump of enemy AI.
└> Enemy AI reinforcements will at times not dismount their vehicles, thus becoming easy pickings as they sit and chill on the back of a truck.

- Unaligned sights
└> M60 front post is not aligned.
└> Hits actually occur roughly in the middle of the rear sight picture (well above the front post).

- Performance
└> Generally okay, however some effects were noted to bring the FPS down to a slideshow.
└> These slow downs were inconsistent and minimal, yet jarring.
└> Possibly a result of poor optimisation or poor implementation of some assets and effects.

- Voice acting
└> This is more of a personal issue.
└> Heavily accented non-English speakers delivering English lines (you play as Americans during the Vietnam war).
└> No subtitles.
└> Possibly low quality recordings of voice lines (difficult for me to discern).
└> Why this is more of a personal issue is due largely to my Auditory Processing Disorder. The heavily accented lines, poor recording quality, ambient noises, and lack of subtitles made the voice acting utterly incomprehensible. A mere fraction of the voice acting was actually understood, making this an accessibility issue that may or may not matter to you.

TL;DR: Cool concept, cheap, but ultimately let down by high levels of mouse acceleration and infuriatingly large, invisible environmental hitboxes that renders some enemies immune to bullets.

I’ve only spent about few hours playing, but the visuals have already blown me away! The lighting and shadows craft an incredible atmosphere, adding a real sense of depth to the experience. The gameplay feels simple yet enjoyable, keeping things engaging without being too intense. So far, it’s definitely worth a shot for anyone who loves stunning graphics and an immersive vibe!
