Unlink Onedrive from my documnts as it does cause loading issues unless you add the following.
Another thing stopping the game from launching is microsoft onedrive. Onedrive in some rare cases has taken over the environment shell path to Documents. FTD at this point reports that a mod is breaking the game when it isn't that. If you follow the microsoft answer here: https://superuser.com/questions/1205668/how-to-unlink-my-documents-folder-from-my-onedrive-account you can unlink onedrive from that folder.

If you do want to use OneDrive you will need to do the following.

1, Create a text document in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\From The Depths

2, Rename the document to SaveLocation open this doc and add the following path
C:\Users\PcProfileName\OneDrive\Documents

When you start the game up it will ask for a profile name as C:\Users\PcProfileName\OneDrive\Documents is empty.

If you already have a From the Depths profile and blueprints, save games etc...You can copy over everything from your PC from
C:\Users\PcProfileName\Documents\From The Depths
and paste into
C:\Users\PcProfileName\OneDrive\Documents\From The Depths

If you pop back in game, you should see that it has loaded up your profile and will start to save anything new to OneDrive.

You can also add a file called "SaveLocation.txt" inside the folder with your FTD executable. In it put a path FTD can use to save its data to.

This will not just be a problem with FTD, it would be a problem with any game that uses documents and needs to access data quickly from that folder. If you need to fetch data from the internet there are obviously issues with packet loss. I imagine most companies just wouldn't bother to help the few people out with the issue, I noticed it when connecting up to a user's PC to try and help. I doubt most companies would do that either. Eventually we will try and do some sort of catch for it but it could go out of date as fast as its put in if Microsoft changed anything at their end.

I had a problem with Stellaris relating to OneDrive, my user made empires weren't showing because somehow it was set to OneDrive's version my documents folder instead of my local one. No idea how it happened. I never even used it. Now I go out of my way to disable it as much as I can when I install Windows.

No idea because I dont know if you are using one drive. Also what do you mean download your own BP? they should be on your PC. Sorry your question confused me.

no i have some steam workshop ships but i cant dowload them if i press dowload it says 'failed to get file. click to reset and retry'
Would I still need to do this if I only use onedrive for one folder and FTD is not in said folder?
