If your mouse isn't working after the update, follow the instructions below and select "Disable gamepad and play" from the Compatibility Mode menu.

Some players have been having issues with controls since we launched the Space Birthday Update, including some problems that prevent them from accessing the game's menu altogether. To help players fix this, we've made some changes to Compatibility Mode to modify control settings.

To launch Compatibility Mode, start Heat Signature and select Play (Compatibility Mode). Compatibility Mode now has options to:

• Restore the default control assignments.
  
• Disable gamepads.
  
• Set custom control assignments.

Once you've changed settings in Compatibility Mode, you can start the game regularly and those settings will be loaded.
