"FoF : Retextured" Installing Manually
Howdy there pardners

Due to some issues with Steam at the moment it seems that a substantial number of players are unable to install the new DLC "FoF : Retextured".

Below you will find instructions on how to apply this new content in very few and extremely easy to take steps.
  1. Download the textures by visiting Fistful of Frags : Retextured DLC[drive.google.com]

  2. After the download has been completed go to your Steam library, "right-click"
    on "Fistful of Frags" and choose "Manage" then
    "Browse Local Files".
    This will bring you to the "Fistful of Frags" folder which contains the "fof" folder.

  3. Unzip the contents of the "fof.zip"
    (fof_new_materials_000.vpk, fof_new_materials_001.vpk, fof_new_materials_002.vpk, fof_new_materials_003.vpk, fof_new_materials_dir.vpk)
    into the "fof" folder and you're done, congratulations! :steamhappy:
You now have the new textures for the game :)
If you want to uninstall you just retrace your steps back to the "fof" folder and remove the 5, above mentioned files.

We're looking for a more convenient solution to the problem we have with Steam at the moment, we will update you as soon as we have more news.
We hope you enjoy this change in art style.

well the world textures work but the characters don't have the textures and are still the same

Hmmmm...weird.
After doing the manual Install please try verifying your game files and let me know.

it was working it was just the singleplayer mission I was on doesn't have retextured characters, whoopsie

Workshop items don't seem to overwrite these? I was hoping my silly playermodel reskins would mesh with this :(

Yup, my snakeskin boots are missing as well... :/ maybe it can be made to work like that?
