Controls are a bit wonky, bit I feel like that has to do with all my time in State of Decay 1 & 2. Once you pick up the flow of the games story and movement it gets really good, really fast. Experimenting with all the weapons and vehicles is super fun if that's your jam. If not, you can easily rely on our favorites at the weapons locker in the safe houses. Glad it supports both styles of play. All in all, great stuff, would recommend to any zombie fan.

This is not just a game it's a wild ride through a world where the rules of reality take a backseat to sheer, unadulterated fun. It's a perfect blend of horror, comedy, & absolute lunacy that will leave you laughing & craving more.

DR3 is actually better than people give it credit for, i find it a lot more enjoyable than 2 (and off the record)
If you are willing to try out Dead Rising because of the upcoming remaster, let it be any of the games that isn't 4.

Aggressively middling, super easy even on nightmare mode; this is Dead Rising for babies. All the identity the previous games had has evaporated with 3: survivors are a complete afterthought (which is egregious for a Dead Rising game), there's less interaction with the environment itself (can't pick up traffic light after destroying the pole, mannequins despawn when thrown instead of breaking into pieces to pick up again, etc), and the time limit is so generous it may as well not exist (even on nightmare).

The story stinks on ice besides some small callbacks, and the main protagonist is never fully fleshed out and comes off as a scared kid the whole time.

The combo weapons are cool to use for about 15 minutes, then become super boring as they are so overpowered the game might as well play itself. Firearms are so busted its unfunny; you can fully spec out the ranged tree to kill hordes of zombies with a handgun within 20 minutes of starting the game.

I found myself completing the game as quickly as possible to be done with it. Dead Rising is all about the tension of the clock, racing to do as much as possible against the time limit. When you essentially remove the pressure of the time limit, DR becomes aimless and bland. Tons of potential wasted. Capcom Vancouver ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how hard making a Dead Rising sequel was, but I don't buy it. I think the real issue was that Capcom handed over the franchise to the Canadians in the first place.

I’m glad I finished the game. That way, I never have to deal with it again. When it was released on the Xbox One back then, I was disappointed that I couldn’t play it as a big fan of Dead Rising 1. Now that I’ve completed it, I’m glad I never have to go back into the game, and I can delete it from my hard drive.

The story is so meaningless, the city feels extremely lifeless, and it’s by far the worst level design I’ve ever experienced. I even had more fun with Dead Rising 4.

Every mission sends you to a different part of the city, and the path to get there is just disgusting. Barricades everywhere, and there are too many zombies everywhere - this was handled much better in DR1 and DR2.

It will never be reinstalled after I’ve finished it.

Underrated in the Dead Rising Trilogy. While the game isnt as colorful or insane as the previous titles this game stands out with its new vehicle combo system and wide variety of combo weapons. Survivor AI is much smarter and less escorty. Play with a friend if you can.
