Sadly that didn't work and there's no error D: It just acts like it's going to launch, doesn't , and then the Play button is available again

I am Also having this exact issue. I was able to play it once. I did the main game and the first DLC and now the game will not open at all. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting my PC, verifying the integrity and also following all the instructions in the mentioned thread. I love this game and I just want to play the rest!

I too am having an issue. I opened the game and started playing when my computer shut off. Now when I try to open the game I am shown this:

I also uninstalled/reinstalled it, restarted my pc, and verified the integrity of the files. When I do that last one, it says all of the files are good, so what should I do?

We've just released a patch that should tackle the save file issue.
Please make sure Steam did update the game properly before trying to play.

cant still not open the game :(

Now I am having this problem too. Verified files and checked to see if it had an update available. Closed and opened steam. Restarted my computer. Found and followed instructions to the %localappdata% folder and found nothing in the progress folder. Checked the "hidden files" checkbox and still nothing.
