[Linux] Bad Performance with High Specs
I've got a system that is able to play Bioshock Infinite and Metro series with around 80+ fps, but this game is always around 20. I'm on Ubuntu 14.10.

Hello!
Could you please use the ingame bug-reporter to report this problem? This gives us some details about your specs, and also sents us your error log output, so we can investigate on this.

Thank you!
Tobi

Ok, I have submitted a bug report. This has been a problem since early access and was also reported then. About how long do you think it'll be for a solution?

Ok, I saw your bug report, thanks!
Seems like you are playing the game on Maximum graphics settings, but while you certainly have a good computer, that setting is really insane and was more thought for the high end PCs that will come out next year or so ;)
If you set the quality to Very High, you should not notice too much of a difference, but will get a way better frame rate.

OK, another issue is that my config is not being saved. I've put it down to Very High and restarted and it reset back to Maximum. Also, full screen setting isn't saved and it always asks me to collect anonymous data.

Also, the resolution appears blurry until I hit apply. This also occurs when loading a save as well. I have dual monitors, so it looks like the game is setting incorrectly sometimes.

Deleting both config directories for the game, left over from early access, fix the saving issue it looks like.

Performance is a bit better on Very High or High, although it's still only around 30.

I'm getting very poor performance as well. I don't have a super high-end PC, but I can play most games at least on high at 60 fps. I have an i5 with a GTX 660 and proprietary drivers. Even on LOW settings, I'm barely staying on 30 fps.

@d10sfan that's really strange, did you delete the old configs permanently, or could you sent them to me so I can try to reproduce this?

@TJ-Aich please report through the ingame bug reporter (F4). Thanks!

Bug submitted. I noticed on the main menu and in the proving ground, the framerate is much better.

I still have them, if you mean for the saving issue.

Anything for the performance issues?

Thanks for the reports guys, we'll need to some tests ourselves to see where the performance issues come from. We didn't experience this (although I have to say performance was always lower on Linux than on Windows, mostly because Unity works much better with DX than OpenGL).

@d10sfan could you please mail the configs to support@stillalive-studios.com? Thank you!

Perhaps you can get some advice from other developers who have Unity-based games that perform well on Linux. For example, Ziggurat performs extremely well on Linux.
