Finished year 1 and it's boring
This game is for me to slow, to tedious and the building aspect is annoying.
Generators, social buildings and so on have a way to low range. Why cant they just walk further?

The split of children and adult pinguins houses and fun stuff is good.
The UI has a good structure also the building menu.

You have no option to gather early on resources via buildings for example plastic which you get at level two which is not in this demo because its in stage two of the tech tree.
So you have to do those annoying quests popups to get more resources.

Why do we have two fishing building when the higher one is worse then the 3 in 1 building which you can get either of the 3 resources krill, fish and squid and why not all 3 together with a focus of one with the highest outcome?

I found this game kinda cute and a nice addition with Timberborn (gigant humaized beavers) but the game is like mentioned in the first sentence boring.

I can't lie but it's a little bit too slow even for me. But my 1st problem is related to buildings and how many penguins you can start with. I had no idea that seals were going to attack me and I lost some food, I managed to recover but there's a need for towers to defend the food. All ok, I did that also but... 15 penguins are not enough... for everything. Power is ok, the range of some buildings is ok also but... for some it's not. Since the game is in development phase, maybe the developers should tell us what's more important, either a bigger range for buildings or more penguins because both cannot work with 15 penguins... because the initial island is quite big for 15 penguins.

Some buildings are fun, but some work too slow. Considering that the oceans have a lot of plastic in them, I thought I will have a lot of resources like 4-5 times what I had. Also 1st year was ok, since that's plan for us to test it. The buildings work, the research works, the constructions + builders work, path finding work which is quite interesting, but the towers are well... ill equipped for now as in either range or damage. But the towers work if put closer.

All the buildings works, except the fun factor that can't be that high in the 1st year. That's what's lowering the chances for more than 15 penguins or well 20 if you do projects in a different way. 1st year was not that bad for me, but it was also a nightmare... considering that I lost more than 150 food to seals :P

Maybe the next version of the beta will increase something... either the range or the damage or the number of initial penguins. Or none of that :P

I just started playing, but i imagine the cap on just 15 penguins is probably for this beta/demo and when the full game comes out I would believe that there would be no caps from the get go (or at least let you get more penguins from the get go...) Could this just be done for testing purposes to see if you like the game and how its designed... after all, this is a demo and its gimped in content I imagine... just a thought.....
