I ran into an issue with this install, but found a solution so I thought I'd share.

When I launched this game it was minimizing every time. I could hear audio, but even if I clicked on it in the taskbar it would bring up a black screen, then minimize again. Checking the integrity of the game through Steam found nine files that didn't pass validation. However re-downloading them didn't solve the issue.

It turns out it's a default resolution problem. I dropped my monitor's resolution very low (1280x800), launched the game, and it worked. I went into the options, change the resolution to 1920x1080. It minimized again, but I closed it (right-click > close window) and put my monitor back to its native resolution (1920x1200). The game played fine after that.
