To anyone experiencing game breaking performance issues with 1.2
If you have encountered a massive performance issue with the 1.2 update, go into your my documents folder then my games. inside the oblivion remastered folder will be a CONFIG folder/file. DELETE THAT F&$KER! i was unable to get past the main menu, now I'm enjoying much better performance. Just don't delete your saves!

amd gpu? Some people using the tweaks mod having issues. Deleting the engine.ini file got them playing again. Note location is C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows and yes it could be some other file and deleting them all may be the fix. I'd hit verify files though after deleting to be safe. And before deleting copy the folder.

And do note that to fix performance issues normally it's to force the game to recompile shaders. Same area except located in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames rename or delete Save_Settings.sav file.

pretty much absolutely everyone on the planet barring the few people that still game on 1080p 30htz monitors

Nah, it runs fine on good hardware. It isn't perfect but it's most certainly playable and enjoyable
