HOW TO ENABLE MULTIPLAYER IN ESTRANGED ACT I (with mods!)
Have you ever wanted to play Estranged with other players? All you have to do is replace the follow gameinfo to:

GameInfo { Game "Estranged: Act I" Type multiplayer_only NoDifficulty 1 GameData estranged.fgd supportsvr 1 FileSystem { SteamAppId 261820 SearchPaths { // Custom game+mod |gameinfo_path|custom // VPK game |gameinfo_path|estranged_pack.vpk // Estranged loose files and binaries game+mod+mod_write+default_write_path |gameinfo_path|. gamebin |gameinfo_path|bin // Platform platform |all_source_engine_paths|platform/platform_misc.vpk platform |all_source_engine_paths|platform } } }

To set up maxplayers, type in "maxplayers (max players)" in the console. Replace (max players) with the max players value.

Pros:
  • Players can join your game freely if they edited the gameinfo.
  • You can make a custom folder and add mods to the game.

Cons:
  • Since Estranged Act I is a singleplayer first-person shooter, the playermodel looks bad.
  • There is no server browser to browse servers.

They would need to connect to your IP address. I recommend using LogMeIn Hamachi to avoid having to port forward.
