Tribute system I thought was fixed but now in endgame... nope
I just took the last 4 fiefs the sturgians have, went like 5000 to 500 k/d, have about 30 out of 40 of their nobles prisoner, they have nothing, and the tribute for peace wants me to pay them 5000 gold per month....

lolololol

They got nothing left, so they might as well ask for the moon.

If you took their last fief, they are going away soon, so they are hardly worth even thinking about.

If you took all their fiefs. Their faction would implode and break up. Thus not possible to pay tribute to make peace with them.

Did they change the tribute system?

Without fiefs they have about 20 days left before they all go "poof". 100k total to keep them docile while they're dying is a pretty cheap price. You can easily earn that money in a handful of battles against the next kingdom on the chopping block

OP's take is false. Because, once they lose all their fiefs, their entire faction cease to exist. All clans become independent, although hostile. If he said all the individual clans now wanted 5k each or whatever for peace, been something else.
