Intimidation - Worth investing into?
I've played the game many times now, but I've always refrained from a low persuasion character given the lack of alternatives offered by seduce and intimidate checks.
Did the +patch eventually tip the scales slightly less to the former's favour?

I don't want to lock myself out of juicy XP and rewards due to my checks not properly influencing people.

The patch fixed a lot of misspelled Intimidate options (some writers wrote Intimidation instead of Intimidate), but Persuasion is still much better.

Hi Wesp, you're really a monolith of this game's scene, do you by chance know which checks require a high check for intimidate? I could always just invest in the bare minimum necessary to enhance my roleplaying without gimping myself too much.

The highest Intimidate the game needs is 8 and only for three characters (Ricky and the two Chunks), so 7 should be fine enough for all the rest.

Thanks, I think I'll invest it into it just to freshen the experience a bit, have a good one.
Do the speech options actually give XP? I think they just make some quests or actions simpler or provide shortcuts. Between persuasion, seduction, and intimidate, the big difference is how you want to roleplay things. Of bigger concern for some bonus XP is being able to sneak or obfuscate so that you can accomplish some goals without alerting or killing anyone.

It's mostly a peeve of mine for not being able to get certain results without persuasion. Some best case scenarios can only be attained by persuasion checks.
