Peon, now that this guide is "live", can you answer me a little question?
Is there a way to unlock the capes from the classic/pre-slayer version?
I have some, but they are from the time I unlocked them back on season 4 and 5.
I know I can change the time/date from computer to reset the seasons on game, but this does not allow me to play the colosseum. Is there any other way around this?

Is this still possible? Slayer is superior with the new weapons and features but I really want to compare some changes for myself.

I removed saves and copied the depots into content and binaries. Turned off cloud and set updates to "only when launching" and then turned off wifi. The game crashes after creating a window. From the crash log:

Exception Information: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

It's still possible. I use this method al the time. I'm not going to be any good at pointing out where you went wrong, but I did just test it. It's working.
