The game doesn't work with the DS4 in desktop mode either. The problem is the game sees a DS4 controller connected, but Steam assigns Xinput commands to the gamepad.

Hi Cookiez and ThreeSon,

Using a PS4 controller in both Big Picture Mode and in Desktop Mode works fine on our end.

If you have more than one controller, could you please test if any of the other controllers let you use the menu?

Having devices connected to the USB ports might also cause the controller to stop working.
Do you have any devices connected via USB? (Guitar Hero Guitar etc.)

Let me know if either of these work :)

Kind regard,
Øystein

The DS4 is the only controller I have. When I first start the game and it says "press button to continue" - I can press one of the DS4 buttons to bring up the main menu. Once I've done that though, all of the buttons, sticks, and d-pad stop working. So I can't use the DS4 to navigate the main menu or select anything.

If I then use the mouse to go into the controls menu, it says that the "Sony DualShock 4" is detected and assigned as the control device, even though nothing is working. If I click on "Assign Controller" and then press a button, it switches to "XInput Gamepad 1" as the active controller.

While still in the control menu, if I click on "Calibrate" all of the sticks and triggers on the controller are successfully working, although this calibrate only works once "XInput Gamepad 1" is the assigned controller - If I try to calibrate while the DS4 is assigned, the sticks and triggers do not work in the Calibrate menu.

But again even when the Calibrate menu is working, as soon as I back out and go back to the main menu, nothing works again.

In Steam, I am using the default Gamepad layout assignements for Earthlock. I've also tried unbinding everything so that the layout is completely empty, but that didn't help.

The only other USB devices I have activated right now are my keyboard and mouse (wireless), along with the USB Bluetooth dongle for the DS4. No other controllers or similar devices are connected, and no other devices appear in my Windows Control Panel.

I'm using Windows 7 x64, in case that would make a difference.

I sent the support email as instructed. I got an auto response back about creating a Snowcastle account - will that be necessary to get further help in this problem?
